Progressive Dinner Serves Up Success for Nurses & Company

The foundation sponsored a Valentine's Day dinner that filled bellies and supported a good cause.

Eight Lake Saint Louis residents of the Moorings Estates opened their homes Feb. 12 for viewing and served as hosts for a Valentine's Day progressive dinner sponsored by Nurses & Company Home Health & Hospice Foundation.

Nurses & Company is a locally owned, nurse-managed healthcare company in St. Peters that has provided care to Missouri and Illinois residents for over 18 years.

The event was held to raise money for the foundation which will be used toward aiding ill patients staying at various Nurses & Company facilities. Patch followed up with Assistant Administrator Sherrie Rieves to see how the fundraiser went.

A Hummer limo carted guests from house to house (though some chose to hoof it), ending the night at the  where a raffle was held while a DJ spun tunes and complimentary photos were taken.

Raffle prizes featured included various wine, margarita and spa baskets, lingerie and a candy kiss necklace donated by the Diamond Co. Rieves said the foundation definitely plans on hosting a repeat of the event next year.

"We were able to reach a great amount of people to share our message about the foundation," she said. Not to mention everyone had a great time. "I can't express how much fun the participants had," Rieves said.

Nurses & Company's next event will be a Bunco game at Dardenne Prairie City Hall on Friday, May 20.
