Spencer Road Library Deconstruction Underway

The old version of the Spencer Road Branch of the St. Charles City-County Library District is being torn down as the new version nears its opening day.

The new version of the of the St. Charles City-County Library District is . In the mean time, the old version is nearly gone. 

Workers began tearing down the old building this week. The building has been gutted and walls are coming down. Crews arrived early Thursday morning ready to continue the desconstruction of the building. 

Library officals said the old building is expected to be completely torn down by the end of the week. The new building should be open in early 2012.
