Spencer Road Library Sneak Peek Back On
Library Foundation premier event scheduled for March 20.
The sneak peek is back on.
Originally , the St. Charles City-County Library Foundation is hosting a fundraising event that will also double as preview event. Construction delays pushed the event back, but now the doors will take place between 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on March 20. The Foundation plans to open the doors to up to 200 supporters before the building is open to the public.
Tickets to the event are $50 and are available online. Guests will get to experience the new facility with drinks, hors d'oeuvres and desserts from local vendors, along with a chance to win raffle items including a Kindle Fire and iPod Touch.

Significant contributions from organizations such as , Progress West Health Center, Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, Charter Communications, Praxair Foundation, and the Friends of the Library helped the Foundation raise over $500,000 in support of the new Spencer Road Library.
After the Spencer Road branch opens and has been operating for a few weeks, a public celebration of the new library is planned during the month of April.
