St. Peters Prepares for Flooding, Closes Parks

Five city parks are closed because of the threat of flooding to the area.

With National Weather Service forecasts projecting flooding hitting area, St. Peters is making preparations at a number of facilities in the interest of public safety.

Five St. Peters City Parks’ facilities are closed because of the treat of flooding. The parks are:

  • Woodlands Park
  • Lone Wolf Park
  • Brown Road Park
  • Sports Center Park
  • St. Peters Municipal Golf Course
  • Rabbit Run Park

At 7 p.m. on Thursday, 370 Lakeside Park will also be closed to the general public.

These St. Peters City Parks will be closed until the threat of flooding has ended.

The city is providing updated information via a special FLOODWATCH section on the home page of our website, www.stpetersmo.net and on the cable channel, SPTV, airing on Charter 992 in St. Charles County and on AT&T U-Verse.
