Strong Storms Heading Toward St. Peters

St. Charles County is in a tornado watch until 9 p.m. on Wednesday as powerful storms make their way across Missouri.

St. Charles County is under a tornado watch until 9 p.m. Wednesday night.

Strong storms with tornadic capabilities have been predicted since Tuesday afternoon. The front is making its way across Missouri and the National Weather Service has placed the entire St. Louis/St. Charles area in hazardous weather advisory.

Before the storm hits, it's important to be prepared. Make sure all phones are charged. In case of a power outage, be sure to have flashlights and candles ready to go. Also, have a plan of where to go in case things get serious. If you have a basement, that is ideal. If not, find a good shelter. FEMA has more advice.
