The Daily Dose: Happy Valentine's Day Edition

The Daily Dose is a look at the weather, what you may have missed and what's coming up on St. Peters Patch. This is the Feb. 14, 2012 edition.

A few years back I was looking for some extra work to get some extra money. Enter flower delivery.

My sister was running her first Valentine's Day as a floral manager at Schnuck's and needed some help. She had 21 orders of flowers that needed to be delivered. I loaded up my car and hit the road. I encountered people still sleeping well after 10 a.m., genuinely surprised women and kids that couldn't care less about the flowers in my hand. It was a unique experience that, honestly, I won't forget.

Today, after Monday's snowfall, I'll be thinking about those delievery driver's out today. Drive safe, friends.
