Today is the last day of my work week—I hope you aren't jealous.

For the first time since this site launched nearly eight months and 1,100 articles ago, I'm going to be taking a little mini vacation. My best friend is getting married on my birthday, so it seemed like a nice time to take off. The very capable will be running the show until I return on Monday. 

But we still have Tuesday left, so let's start it off with another edition of The Daily Dose.

Monday: Patchy fog before 7 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 88. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph. 

Monday night: 
A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. South wind around 6 mph. 

Tuesday: 
A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. South wind between 6 and 13 mph. 

Tuesday night: 
A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. South wind between 7 and 10 mph.
