Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow yesterday, which means six more weeks of winter. In unrelated news, it was 65 on Thursday in St. Louis.

It won't be that warm today, and it will rain, but it surely doesn't feel like winter.

The Forecast

Here's the St. Peters weather outlook for today and this weekend from the National Weather Service

Friday: Showers likely after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 56. East wind between 7 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Friday night: Occasional showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 42. East wind between 13 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent.

Saturday: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 50. East wind between 8 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Saturday night: A chance of rain before 2am, then a chance of rain and snow. Cloudy, with a low around 35. North wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 46. 

Sunday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 30.
