COMMUNITY LIVING, INC. TO HOST LONG-TERM PLANNING WORKSHOP ON OCT. 29

Those caring for loved ones with special needs are encouraged to attend the FREE event, which will address concerns related to estate planning, guardianship and more

On Oct. 29, Community Living, Inc., a premier provider of programs and services for people with disabilities in St. Charles County, will host a special educational workshop focused on long-term planning for loved ones caring for those with special needs. The free event, titled “Planning the Future – Dealing with the Greatest Fears,” will take place in the Community Commons at Spencer Road Library, located at 427 Spencer Road, St. Peters, MO 63376. All family members, friends and guardians of individuals with special needs are invited and encouraged to make plans to attend.

The workshop will feature an expert panel that will address concerns and questions, and provide essential information on a variety of important topics, including government benefit eligibility, guardianship and conservatorship/guardian ad litem, financial security and funding options and tax strategies.

Participants can choose from two sessions. The first session will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and lunch will be provided. A second session will be held later in the day from 6 to 8 p.m. with dinner provided. Registration for the events is required.
