Armed Robbery in Richmond Heights May Be Connected to St. Peters Case

The May 7 incident at Burger King might be related to a similar case in St. Peters, police stated.

No additional updates about the case were available as of Friday, Capt. Doug Schaeffler said in an email. An investigation is ongoing.

The incident began when a gunman in a green stocking mask motioned for a Burger King employee who was policing the store's lot before the start of business. The employee ran into the building to warn the people inside.

The gunman followed and told the manager to open the safe. He took money from two cash drawers inside it before fleeing through the front door and running north.

A perpetrator fitting the same description used a gun to rob a store in St. Peters, the blotter states.
