Central County Fire and Rescue offers residents who live in the district a chance to train like an emergency responder during a seven-week program.
The program teaches participants the operations of the fire department and get hands on experience with tools used to fight fires.
The fall session starts Aug. 28 and runs each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
Topics include a history of the fire service, fire extinguishment, search and rescue, automobile extrication and emergency medical services, among others.
Participants must be 21 years or older, have proof of health insurance and residents of the district. For more information, call (636) 970-9700.
