Man Charged with Assaulting, Robbing His Ex-Girlfriend

Man also charged with taking woman's purse on throwing it onto Interstate 70.

A St. Louis County man is charged with assaulting a St. Peters woman and taking her purse on April 22. He was arrested Monday.

The woman told St. Peters Police that Jerry Brown Jr., 23, of the Castle Point neighborhood in St. Louis County, hit, kicked and choked her and that she was unable to breathe. A police report noted linear bruises on her neck. She is Brown’s ex-girlfriend.

Brown also took the victim’s purse and threw in into traffic on eastbound Interstate 70, but kept her cell phone’s computer chip.

He is charged with second-degree domestic assault and robbery. Bond was set at $20,000.
