Man Charged With Hitting, Strangling Pregnant Girlfriend

St. Peters Police said the man threatened to kill his girlfriend and the unborn baby.

 

A man was charged Wednesday in St. Charles County Circuit Court with hitting and choking his pregnant girlfriend.

Justin Tobin, 23, of the first block of Deborah Drive in St. Peters, was charged with third-degree domestic assault.

said Tobin injured his live-in girlfriend Tuesday by hitting and strangling her and threw a large metal washer at her. He also threatened to kill her and the baby, according to the police report.

Bond was set at $5,000, and Tobin is to have no contact with the victim.
