Man Drove From Kansas City to Pick Up 13-Year-Old Girl Who Texted Him Nude Photos

A St. Charles County Sheriff's deputy pulled the man and the girl over on a traffic stop and the girl told the deputy she was running away to live with the 21-year-old man.

A 21-year-old man texted a 13-year-old girl asking for nude photos and then drove from Kansas City to St. Charles County to pick her up Feb. 27. A St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputy pulled the man over on a traffic violation, and the girl was in his car.

Dominique Carter, 21, of the 4200 block of Wabash Avenue in Kansas City, was charged Thursday with enticing a child, sexual misconduct and first-degree endangerment of a child.

A St. Charles County Cyber Crime Unit detective said Carter and the girl met online Feb. 25 and exchanged text messages about hugging and kissing. Carter asked the girl to send him nude photos of herself, which she did on Feb. 27, police say.

Carter told the girl she could come live with him in Kansas City and on Feb. 27, he drove to the Harvester-area, where the girl lives, and waited outside, according to court documents. The girl waited until family members fell asleep, brought some belongings and went outside and got into Carter’s car.

A St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputy said he stopped Carter’s car on a traffic violation. Carter told the officer he was just giving the girl a ride, but the girl said she was running away from home and Carter was taking her to his house, the deputy reported.
