Man Rammed Pickup Into Front Door Trying to Hit Wife, Police Say

St. Peters Police said the man had pushed her out of his truck and tried to back over her when she ran into the house.

Police said a man drove his pickup truck into his front door while trying to run over his wife Oct. 1 in St. Peters.

Timothy P. McMorris, 34, was charged Tuesday with third-degree domestic assault and second-degree child endangerment.

St. Peters Police said McMorris pushed his wife out of his pickup truck, put the truck in reverse and tried to hit her with the truck. The woman ran into their house in the first block of Pilot Hill Court and grabbed the couple’s 9-year-old daughter just inside the doorway, police said.

McMorris continued backing his truck up towards the woman and ran it into the front of the house, damaging the front entrance, according to the police report.
