Men Helped Burglarize St. Charles County House, Police Say

Alex Stigall also was charged with receiving stolen property and physically taking property from a victim earlier this year.

A St. Charles County man is charged with attempting to burglarize a home near St. Peters while a couple was at home.

Alex Michael Stigall, 18, of the 400 block of Southbridge Drive near St. Peters, was charged Sept. 5 with first-degree burglary.

A St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department investigator said Stigall and another man entered a home in the 500 block of Fox Pointe Drive in St. Charles County near St. Peters while the homeowners were present.

Police said they found Stigall’s fingerprints at an entryway at the home. Police said Stigall admitted to being a lookout in the burglary as the other man tried to steal prescription medication.

Stigall is being held in St. Charles County jail. Bail was set at $50,000, cash only.

He also was charged in August with receiving stolen property and in May for physically taking property from a victim.
