New Jersey Man Steals Wind Chimes, Bedding, Other Items, Police Say

St. Peters Police said the man was wanted in his home state on a parole violation.

A man faces stealing charges after police said he stole several items from Walmart in St. Peters, including wind chimes, a coffee maker and bedding.

Arthur Corcione, 41, was charged Oct. 1 with felony stealing for theft of items valued at more than $500. Police said Corcione is from New Jersey and did not have a permanent residence in Missouri, and gave the St. Charles Motel 6, 3800 Harry S. Truman, as his primary address.

He is wanted in New Jersey on a probation violation.

St. Peters Police said Corcione took items from store displays at the St. Peters Walmart and put them in his shopping cart, including a coffee maker, DVDs, a telephone and electronics. He then left the store without attempting to pay for the items.

Bail was set at $10,000, cash only.
