Police Blotter: Thief Steals BMW By Taking Car For An Unannounced Test Drive

The following information was supplied by the St. Peters Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Forgery

  • A male subject in the 3900 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway reported he received three counterfeit $100 bills in a Craigslist transaction. The bills did not have the security strips, holograms and the ink color did not match a genuine bill.  The bills were seized by our department and the case has been forwarded to the Secret Service.
Stolen Auto
  • A 2011 BMW, gold in color stolen from dealership lot in the 10000 block of Spencer Road. The suspect came to the dealership during normal business hours and inquired about the vehicle. Salesman retrieved the keys and turned on the vehicle to show the suspect the car. The suspect put the vehicle in reverse and sped off the parking lot without permission to take the vehicle. The suspect was accompanied by two other males subjects in a white, unlicensed, Dodge Charger.  The suspect was described as an early 20s male,  with a white hat, white t-shirt, blue jeans and black glasses.
