Police Blotter: Traffic Stop Leads to Citation for Drug Possession

Drug Offense
  • Vehicle was observed failing to stop for a stop sign at Mexico Road and Pioneer Drive. Officer conducted a traffic stop and upon contacting the driver noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officer searched the vehicle and located marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the car. The driver was issued summonses and released at the scene.
Fraud
  • St. Peters Police arrested a woman accused of stealing a wallet from a 94-year-old resident after receiving an anonymous tip Thursday. Nora K. Faupel, 30, of the 1400 block of Garden Valley Drive in St. Peters was charged Friday with stealing a credit device and fraudulent use of a credit device.
