Update: Woman Killed in Highway 364 Crash

A 53-year-old woman died after she lost control on icy patch of the highway. Paramedics found the woman dead on the road about 30 feet from the vehicle. She appeared to have suffered severe head injuries.

Update:

The driver in the crash has been identified. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver was Gwendolyn F. Hopson, 53, of Florissant. Hopsonwas pronounced dead at 7:03 a.m. after the crash.

A woman was killed after being thrown from her vehicle in an early-morning crash on Highway 364 in St. Charles County. 

According to a St. Louis Post-Dispatch, a 53-year-old woman lost control on icy patch of the highway. Marty Limbert, a spokesman for the St. Charles County Ambulance District, told the Post-Dispatch that the woman wasn't wearing a seat belt.

Accoring to the report, paramedics found the woman dead on the road about 30 feet from the vehicle. She appeared to have suffered severe head injuries. 

The crash on Highway 364 is the second this week following Sunday's snow. A St. Peters man was seriously injured after losing control of his car on the icy road late Monday. Nicholas P. Custer, 23, of St. Peters, was heading eastbound on Missouri Route 94 at Highway 364 just before 10 p.m. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Custer lost control of his 2003 Chevrolet Silverado on the ice-covered road. He traveled over the cement bridge wall and went airborne, eventually landing in the westbound lanes of 364.
