Sex Offender Changes Address, Fails to Notify Authorities

The registered sex offender's last known address was in O'Fallon.

A registered sex offender who last lived in O’Fallon was charged Friday with failing to register after changing addresses.

Rodney L. Jenkins, 56, whose last known address was in the 2300 block of Foxtrotter Drive, was “kicked out of his residence” on Feb. 14, according to a report.

Sex offenders in St. Charles County are required to notify the Sheriff’s Department within three days of changing addresses, so Jenkins was required to notify the Sheriff’s Department by Feb. 17. The Missouri State Sex Offender list states his current address as unknown.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

In 2007, Jenkins pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender, and he was sentenced to four years in prison.

In 2005, he pleaded guilty to failure to complete and submit offender registration form and was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

Jenkins pleaded guilty to first-degree child molestation in 1996, a felony involving a child under age 14. The victim was 8 years old.
