St. Louis Man Arrested With Stolen Cell Phones, Marijuana

A St. Louis man was charged by the St. Charles County Sheriff's Department after being found possessing two stolen cell phones and a small bag of marijuana.

A St. Louis man was arrested in St. Peters charged after the St. Charles County Sheriff's Department found two stolen cell phones in the man's vehicle.

Tyson Evans, 30, of the 6100 block of Arsenal Street in St. Louis, was arrested on Jan. 1 in the 200 block of Cedar Grove Drive in St. Peters. A St. Charles County Sheriff's Department Deputy found two stolen cell phones, a small bag of marijuana and a concealed firearm in the car. A rolled up marijuana cigarette was also found in the cup holder in the car's center console. 

Evans was charged with two misdemeanor counts. The first count, a class A misdemeanour for receiving stolen property. The second count, also a class A misdemeanor, is for possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana.

Evans informed police that he is the respondent of an order of protection is currently awaiting trial on an assault case relating to that order of protection. 

Evans originally was detained on $5,000 bail, but he posted bail on Jan. 2. He has a disposition scheduled at 9 a.m. on Feb. 13.
