St. Peters Alderman Tommy Roberts Charged With Marijauana Possession

Roberts was diagnosed last year with Hodgkins lymphoma.

St. Peters Ward 3 Alderman Tommy Roberts Jr. was charged Thursday with possession of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

St. Charles County Prosecutor Tim Lohmar said that Roberts called 911 and let St. Peters police officers into his home in the 1100 block of Spencer Road at about 5:34 a.m. Aug. 7.

“He let them in his home, and that’s when they found the controlled substance on the counter,” Lohmar said.

The marijuana and paraphernalia were in plain sight, Lohmar said.

Patch.com could not reach Roberts on Friday. The St. Louis Post Dispatch reported that Roberts would not comment on the matter, but did say “that is a medical issue.”
