A St. Charles County man is accused of taking part in a peer-to-peer network for child pornography.

Pascal Bercker, 56, of the first block of Four Winds Drive in St. Charles County near St. Peters, was charged Wednesday with child pornography possession.

Missouri Highway Patrol officers served a warrant at Bercker’s home and searched a desktop computer in his basement office, according to a court document. Bercker admitted to using a file-sharing network that deals in child pornography, a trooper wrote in the probable cause statement.

Officers also found video files that depict pre-pubescent children having sex with adults, according to the document.

The officer wrote in the court document, “When I asked (Bercker) what terms he used to find child pornography to download, he lowered his head and asked for an attorney.”

Bercker is being held in the St. Charles County jail. Bail was set at $35,000.
