St. Peters Laser Center Owner Indicted On Seven Counts of Sexual Assault

Seven women report that Lawrence Branam, of O'Fallon touched them sexually during hair removal treatments.

The owner of the Cosmetic Laser Center in St. Peters was indicted by a St. Charles County grand jury Friday on seven counts of deviate sexual assault.

Lawrence Branam, 48, of the 1400 block of Norwood Hills Drive in O’Fallon, owned the Cosmetic Laser Center at 7030 Mexico Road and was a licensed laser hair removal technician.

Branam was arrested June 20 after St. Peters Police received a report that he had inappropriately touched a female client during hair removal treatments.

The client told people she had gone in for laser hair removal and Branam had touched her in areas which were not treated as part of the laser hair removal process. The client stated the touching was sexual in nature and unwanted. 

Following reports of Branam’s arrest, more women came forward to report Branam, police said. At least seven different women reported that Branam touched them in a sexual manner during hair removal treatments between October 28, 2010 and June 18, 2012.

Branam posted a $40,000 bond June 26 and he was released from St. Charles County jail.
