St. Peters Man Cooked Meth with Children in Home, Police Say

The St. Charles County Drug Task Force received a report that an active meth lab was at the St. Peters home.

St. Charles County Drug Task Force members found an active methamphetamine lab on Gateswood Court in St. Peters. The man was cooking meth with children present in the home, police said.

Dustin Parnell, 22, of Gateswood Court, was charged Nov. 30 with manufacturing methamphetamine and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

A Drug Task Force detective said they received a report of an active meth lab at the home. They arrived and searched the home, finding an active meth lab in the basement, four used one-pot meth labs and chemicals used to make meth.

According to the Drug Task Force report, Parnell admitted to cooking meth four times in the last two weeks with the children present.  He also told detectives he used to cook meth in Fredericktown before moving to St. Peters.

The home on Gateswood Court is now condemned, according to court documents.

Bail for Parnell was set at $25,000.
