St. Peters Police Blotter: Counterfeit Money and Damaged Snowmen Edition

The following are selected reports from the St. Peters Police Department.

The following are selected reports from the  from Dec. 12 to Dec. 17, 2011. 

Incident No. 30572: Property damage, 1100 block of Spencer Road. Unknown person damaged an inflatable snowman decoration in the front yard. No suspect(s).

Incident No. 30582: Stealing (felony), 200 block of Sierra Drive. Victim was defrauded out of almost $10,000 by a person posing as a mortgage lender.  Active investigation.

Incident No. 30589: Stealing (felony), 1400 block of Jungermann Road. Restaurant deposit money stolen—active investigation.  

Incident No. 30594: Property damage, 4400 block of I-70 Service Road. Key and lock box, valued at $45, stolen from trucking business. No suspect(s).

Incident No. 30687: Stealing (felony), 2100 block of Parkway Drive. Scrap metal valued at approximately $2,200 was stolen from business lot. No suspect(s).

Incident No. 30762: Counterfeiting, 400 block of Salt Lick Road. A counterfeit $20 bill was used at store. Case was forwarded to the Secret Service.

Incident No. 30801: Fraud, 100 block of Mid Rivers Mall Circle. Suspect attempted to use fraudulent checks to pay for purchase at the mall. Transaction was not complete due to check being declined. Suspects were arrested for attempting to pass a bad check and possession of marijuana

Incident No. 30832: Stealing (felony), 3900 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway. Wheels and tires stolen from victim’s vehicle, valued at $600. Suspect located and warrant application made for the theft.

Incident No. 30945: Property damage, 300 block of Driftwood. Unknown person damaged victim’s mailbox.  No suspect(s).

Incident No. 30989: Property damage, 100 block of Sutters Mill Road. Unknown person forced entry on victim’s residence by breaking window. No items appear to be missing from residence. No suspect(s) at this time.

Incident No. 31024: Property damage, Gettysburg Landing/Heritage Landing. Suspect damaged stop sign and various other signs with his vehicle.  Suspect was arrested by St. Charles County (for damaging more property in their venue) and was charged for the property damage in our venue.  Damage was valued at approximately $500.

Incident No. 31048: Stealing (felony), 1600 block of Jungermann Road. Female suspect arrested after exiting Wal-Mart with a cart full of unpaid merchandise, including DVD’s and video games.  Female suspect was arrested at a later time and stolen items are in the process of being retrieved.
