St. Peters Police Blotter: Man Attempted to Cash Fraudulent Checks, Pawned Stolen Goods

• Incident No. 15586: Stealing felony, first block of Creekside Drive. A male family member attempted to cash a check on an account in which he was not authorized. During the ensuing investigation, police found the male subject had pawned numerous jewelry items belonging to another acquaintance. Suspect was arrested and released pending application of warrants.

• Incident No. 15605: Burglary, 2900 block of Park Valley Drive. Reporting party said he has scratches/scraps on door knob around lock. He did not know where they came from and if they were done in attempts to gain entry. Report was changed from a “Burglary” to “Informational Report.”

• Incident No. 15650: Property damage, first block of Constellation Hills. Changed to an “informational report.”  Locking mechanism on vehicle was not working properly. Locksmith suggested it could have been tampered with.

• Incident No. 15685: Stealing, 2700 block of Sequoia. Victim had several items stolen from his unlocked vehicle. The items included a college ring valued at $500.
