St. Peters Police Blotter: Person Fooled Into Wiring $900 to Mexico

Also in the St. Peters crime report, police are looking for a car that left the scene of an accident after hitting a parked car.

The following are selected reports from the St. Peters Police Department.

• Incident No. 24851: Stealing felony, 3900 block of Bellvue Drive. An unknown male suspect called victim saying he was a family member who was stuck in Mexico and needed them to wire money. The victim believed it was their family member and wired approximately $900 to the suspect. The suspect called back trying to get more money from victims, at which time they were able to verify the family member in question was not in Mexico.

• Incident No. 24859: Leaving the scene of a car accident, 500 block of Mid Rivers Mall Drive. An unknown vehicle struck victim's parked vehicle on parking lot. Damage was to the rear quarter panel. There are no suspects at this time.
