St. Peters Police: Couple Arrested for Smith Jewelry Robbery

St. Peters resident Kenneth Crocker has been arrested for stealing more than 100 gold rings and diamonds from a jewelry store in June.

After the St. Peters Police Department Criminal Investigations Bureau received an  anonymous tip, police arrested 38-year-old Kenneth Crocker on Wednesday. Police also arrested Crocker's girlfriend, 29-year-old Crystal Siefke.

Both are listed as residents and were arrested without incident.

Crocker is accused of displaying a handgun on the morning of June 25 and demanding more than 100 gold rings and diamonds from Smith's. He then fled the area. Police say Siefke was pawning the jewelry. 

During the investigation, Siefke admitted to pawning some of the stolen jewelry at various pawn shops. Police execute a search warrant at the couple's resident and found approximately 70 rings. St. Peters Police are currently working with the pawn shops Siefke said she sold to to recover the remaining jewelry.

Wednesday's arrest was not Crocker's first run-in with St. Peters Police. Police said that in 2009 he was arrested for two counts of Burglary 2nd, two counts of Stealing more than $500 and one count of Property Damage 1st.  He was sentenced to five years of supervised probation for those crimes. 

Siefke was arrested by St. Peters Police Department one day before the robbery for felony stealing at . A warrant application on that case is pending through St. Charles Prosecuting Attorney's Office.

Crocker has been charged with Robbery 1st through St. Charles Prosecuting Attorney's Office and is being held on a $50,000 bond. Siefke has been charged with Receiving Stolen Property through St. Charles Prosecuting Attorney's Office and is being held on a $10,000 bond. 

The will be transferred to St. Charles County Jail later Thursday.
