St. Peters Police Enforce Seat Belt Laws
City releases results from recent crackdown on seat belt use.
For two weeks the St. Peters Police Department joined a statewide effort to crack down on drivers not using seat belts.
From May 23 to June 5 the St. Peters Police Department particpated in a “Click It or Ticket” mobilization to crack down on Missouri’s seat belt violations. The majority of the St. Peters Police Department enforcement campaign took place in neighborhood subdivisions.
During the enforcement effort, officers issued a total of 171 traffic citations including:

- 35 Stop Sign Violations
- 8 Signal Violations
- 1 Fail to Yield Violation
- 58 Speeding Violations
- 47 Seat Belt Violations
- 4 Uninsured Motorist Violations
- 18 other moving and non-moving violations
- 40 Warnings Issued for various violations
