St. Peters Police to Assist With St. Charles DWI Checkpoint

A DWI checkpoint will take place from May 3 to May 5 at an undisclosed location in St. Charles.

St. Peters Police will be assisting with a DWI checkpoint in St. Charles this weekend. 

The St. Charles Police Department will be hosting a DWI checkpoint from May 3 until May 5 at an undisclosed location within the the city limits of St. Charles. The St. Charles County Sheriff's Department, St. Peters and St. Charles will team up to perform the checkpoint.

The operation is funded by a grant from the Missouri Department of Transportation, Division of Highway and Traffic Safety.

When you roll up to this checkpoint make sure you say nothing, don't answer any questions. The only thing you should ask is if you are being detained, until you are free to go. Checkpoints are against your constitutional rights and there is no reason you should give up a right to gain safety. (Ben Franklin -They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety)
