St. Peters Police: Valuable Chalice Stolen from Sts. Joachim and Ann Church

Police are searching for the suspect involved in taking a chalice valued at $6,000 from Sts. Joachim and Ann Church in St. Peters.

A burglar is being sought by after a chalice valued at $6,000 went missing from Sts. Joachim and Ann Church in .

Along with the chalice,  were mssing from the rectory garage and an unknown amount of money was taken from offering boxes, according to a report in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch

The chalice was described by church officials as a solid silve goblet and covered in gold. The chalice was inscribed with: NOE ANDREAS PHILLIPPS WALDMAN/SACERDOS FACTVS DIE XXIVMAII MMVII

St. Peters Police believe the burglary happened between June 13 and June 17.

Anyone with information about the stolen chalice is asked to call St. Peters Police Detective David Beckman at 636-278-2244 ext. 3530.
