St. Peters Police Welcome New Officer

Christopher S. Ruder comes to St. Peters from St. Louis County.

The officially welcomed Christopher S. Ruder to the squad during the June 28 Board of Aldermen meeting. 

Ruder was sworn in by St. Peters Police Major Jeff Finkelstein during the board's meeting. Ruder comes to St. Peters from the St. Louis County Police Department, where had worked since 2006. At County, Ruder worked as a parole officer, juvenile detective and a detective. 

“We're really excited to have him here with us,” Finkelstein said.

Ruder, originally from St. Louis County, is a Parkway West graduate. He's been married since 2001 and has three kids. He attended Johnson County Community College, the University of Missouri, Kansas University and Wichita State University. 

"I’m very proud you’re with us in the city of ," Mayor Len Pagano said.
