St. Peters Trucker Unharmed After Being Rear-Ended

The other driver in the crash was airlifted a hospital in serious condition.

A Godfrey, Ill. man is in serious condition after a collision with a semi-truck driven by a St. Peters resident on Tuesday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol , 22-year-old Joseph Schwank was driving north on U.S. 67 just south of Missouri 94 just before 10:30 a.m. The Highway Patrol said Schwank was going too fast for the road conditions and the front of his vehicle struck the rear of a semi-truck driven by Joseph Theis, 34, of . 

The crash report says Schwank's 2005 Lincoln LS hit the towed unit of the truck, totaling out Schwank's car. Arch Helicopter took him to Barnes Jewish Hospital and his injuries are listed as serious.

Theis sustained no injuries in the crash.
