A St. Peters man was seriously injured Wednesday evening in a crash on Highway 94 in St. Charles County.

Haiyang Wei, 33, of St. Peters, was one of three people seriously injured in a multi-car crash just before 7 p.m.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 16-year-old James R. Warrick, of St. Charles, was traveling on westbound Highway 94 when he lost control of 2005 Dodge Caravan. Warrick's van crossed the center line and struck Wei's 2004 Mazda 6 head on.

A third vehicle, a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze driven by 75-year-old June Westfall, of St. Charles, was following behind Wei. She struck the rear of Wei's car and then traveled off the road.

Wei was taken by St. Charles County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur with serious injuries. Warrick and his passenger, 17-year-old Madison T. Soots, of Warrenton, were taken by Gateway helicopter to Mercy with serious injuries.

Both Wei and Warrick's vehicles were totaled in the crash.

All parties involved in the crash were wearing safety devices.
