Two Injured in Single-Car Accident

The car, driven by a 19-year-old St. Peters resident, crashed in Saline County on Thursday night.

Two passengers were injured in a single-car crash late Thursday night.

St. Peters resident Zachary Bumstead, 19, was the driver in the crash. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Bumstead was driving on Lincoln Ave just south of Route WW in Saline County just after 10 p.m.

The report says Bumstead lost control of his 2000 Chevrolet and travelled off the left side of the road. The car struck a ditch and a utility pole before coming to a rest.

Bumstead, who was wearing a safety device, didn't require medical attention. Two passengers, however, did.

Garrett Hill, 20, from Union, Mo., was transported by EMS to Fitzgibbon Hospital with serious injuries. Jacob Pederson, 20, of San Jose, Calif., was also taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital with moderate injuries. Both were wearing safety devices.

Bumstead's vehicle was totaled in the crash.
