Update: St. Peters Woman Arrested for Stealing Elderly Woman’s Wallet
St. Peters Police sent out photos and news release Thursday, and an anonymous tipster said they saw photos online.
St. Peters Police arrested a woman accused of stealing a wallet from a 94-year-old resident after receiving an anonymous tip Thursday. Nora K. Faupel, 30, of the 1400 block of Garden Valley Drive in St. Peters was charged Friday with stealing a credit device and fraudulent use of a credit device.
After St. Peters Police released photos and a news release to the media, they the department received a tip about the suspect’s identity in the surveillance pictures. The tipster said they saw the information on an online news outlet.
Officers followed up on the tip and arrested Faupel without incident.

Faupel will be held in St. Charles County jail. Bail was set at $10,000.
