Woman Found at Ashwood Apartments May Have Died of Natural Causes

St. Charles County sheriff's deputies said the woman may have been dead for two to four days.

St. Charles County Sheriff's deputies discovered the woman late Sunday night at the Ashwood Apartments in St. Charles County near . The woman, 34, had recently had surgery and may have died of complications related to that, said sheriff's department spokesman Lt. Craig McGuire said to the Post-Dispatch

Police said the woman's 3-year-old daughter was with her in the apartment and may have been alone for up to four days. The girl appeared to be OK and was released into the custody of the sister.

St. Charles County sheriff's deputies were called to the apartment at about 10:30 p.m on Sunday, May 20, after the woman's sister found the dead body. Police said she may have been dead for two to four days.
