Woman Indicted in Attack on Francis Howell Student Last Spring

Jordin Casey Carter, who was a Francis Howell student, was indicted for assault, assaulting an officer, stalking and resisting arrest.

An 18-year-old woman was indicted on several charges stemming from attacking a Francis Howell student in the school cafeteria last April.

A St. Charles County grand jury on Friday indicted Jordin Casey Carter, 18, of the 4400 block of Wavecrest Circle in Cottleville, on one count each of being an accessory to assault on school property, assaulting an officer, resisting arrest and two counts of aggravated stalking.

A St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputy reported that Carter and a juvenile followed another student into the school’s lunch line on April 26. They rushed up behind the student, began punching her in the face and head and dragged her to the floor by her hair.

The deputy reported that Carter and another girl had been bullying the student for four months, and had threatened to assault her.

The deputy said Carter and her co-defendant were bragging about beating the girl up as they were being taken into custody.

Carter is scheduled to appear in St. Charles County Circuit Court before Judge Nancy Schneider on Sept. 26. Carter posted $1,000 of a $10,000 bond and was released from custody June 23.
