Woman Used Another Person's ID in Arrest, Police Say

The crime wasn't discovered until the other woman was arrested two years later, St. Peters Police say.

A woman arrested for stealing at Mid Rivers Mall used fake identification in an attempt to pass herself off as another person.

Latasha S. Frazier, 39, of the 2200 block of Collett Drive in Moline Acres, was charged Jan. 28 with two counts of forgery and one count of possessing a controlled substance.

St. Peters Police said Frazier was arrested May 7, 2010 at Mid Rivers Mall for possessing buprenorphine and naloxone, both controlled substances. Police said she gave officers an Illinois driver’s license with someone else’s identity information.

Frazier had been arrested for stealing items valued at $320 from Marshall’s at Mid Rivers Mall in St. Peters, and officers also found she had items stolen from TJ Maxx.

She also filled out a fingerprint card with the other person’s information. That woman later was arrested and told police Frazier had used her identification and forged her signature.

Frazier told police she used the other woman’s information to stay out of trouble. Frazier’s identity was not learned until Oct. 4.

Frazier was arrested Jan. 28. She is being held in St. Charles County jail in lieu of a $50,0000 bond.

Have no idea how one would pick her out in a crowd as an unsavory person.
