Board of Aldermen Return to Work

The St. Peters Board will be back in session at 5 p.m. Thursday, July 28.

It's back to work time for the St. Peters Board of Aldermen. 

For just the second time this summer, the Board will be in session at the . After nearly away, the Board will get down to business tonight, Thursday, July 28. 

The Board will get to work with a work session at 5 p.m. The regular meeting will follow at 7 p.m.

Despite the time away, the Board isn't staring at a lengthy agenda for the meeting. In fact, both the work session and meeting agendas could be considered fairly normal.

Some highlights from the work session include:

  • The Board will continue to debate the park naming issue. For the third time this year, the Aldermen will decide if they city should rename a park, in this case naming the Rabbit Run Park annex after Jack Gettemeyer.
  • A discussion will take place on a stoplight at 1216 Cactus Junction.
  • The Board will take bids for the Mexico Road widening project.

Following the work session, the regular meeting will begin. Some highlights include: 

  • Mayor Len Pagano will make appointments to the Outpatient Surgical Treatment Center Medical Review Board and the Youth Leadership Council. 
  • The Board will host a public hearing  concerning the proposed annexation of 24 Belmont Drive into the city of St. Peters.
  • The Board will vote on two resolutions and six new bills.
