Elected in 2011, Chrissy currently serves as your State Representative for District 15. She has been a part of the St. Charles community since 1987 where she currently resides with her husband Mike and their two children.
Sommer is a graduate of the University of Missouri with more than 30 years of professional business experience including being vice president for her family's business and managing an office building that she co-owns that specializes in space for small and start up businesses and also managing her husband's CPA firm.
In addition, she is a longtime community leader and volunteer in the St Charles Area. Chrissy has served as President of the Harvest Ridge PTO and the St Charles Jaycees. She was an Leader and Assistant Leader of Girl Scout Troop 4433 at Harvest Ridge Elementary. She is also currently an Assistant Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 911 at Harvester Christian Church and also volunteers with the American Heritage Girls troop at Harvester Christian Church.
Sommer was elected in 2008 and again in 2010 to serve on the St Charles County Republican Central Committee as the Zumbehl Township Committee and is currently the chair of the 15th District. Sommer's family has a long and rich tradition of public and community service. Her late grandfather ran for Congress back in the early 70's which inspired her to take an interest in her country. Her husband, Mike, currently serves on the Francis Howell Board of Education as well as numerous other community and civic organizations.
Chrissy was selected as the Freshman Legislator of the Year for her Outstanding work as an Advocate for Taxpayer Protection Rights. She currently serves on the Fiscal Review, Local Government, Retirement, Higher Education and Downsizing State Government Committees. She was recently endorsed by the Missouri Club for Growth, has an "A" rating with the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and is endorsed by Missouri Right to Life and Students First. Chrissy is currently seeking re-election to the House in the newly renumbered 106 district.
