City Workers Take Down Holiday Decorations

A new year means it's time to pack away the holiday decorations for another year.

The start of 2011 means the 2010 holiday season is over.

Many people use the start of the New Year as a time to take down the holiday decorations. The City of St. Peters is the same way. On Monday, a large Christmas tree was still perched in front of City Hall. By early Tuesday morning, workers had begun stripping the tree down to a wire frame.

Along Mexico Road in front of City Hall, two other workers were in a cherry picker taking down garland and other paraphernalia that had been placed among the posts dividing the roadway.
