Election Day Quick Facts: Find Out Where and When to Vote

April 3, 2012 is Election Day in St. Peters. Here's some things you need to know before you hit the polls.

Today is election day in St. Peters. Polling places around the city will open bright and early at 6 a.m. for a day full of voting.

Here are some things you should probably know before you hit the polls.

  • The polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Before work, after work, during work—it doesn't matter. The polls are open most of the day so you'll have plenty of time to vote.
  • Polling places are everywhere. Last week a voter registration card should have arrived in the mail telling you where to vote. But really, who holds on to those things? If you're not sure where to vote, check out the polling place locator
  • There are a lot of ballots. A lot. There's not just one ballot for all of St. Peters. Each resident will have a chance to vote for Mayor, but Aldermen choices are made by those who live in the Ward. If you live in Ward 1, you have a cherry ballot. To see all the ballots, and find yours, check out the St. Charles County Election site.
  • As a voter, you have rights. It's true. Check out the Voter's Bill of Rights to learn what rights you have.

Check back later for live election results.
