What is your current job/position? Principal Engineer for BioMerieux, Inc.

Why are you running for Board of Aldermen? I'm seeking re-election to continue providing my residents the superlative service and attention to their concerns they have grown to expect.

Relevant Experience:  I've been a public official for seven years.  I've served as Ward 3 Alderman since 2007, and I served as a planning commissioner for three years before that.

What do think you can you bring to this position?  As a seasoned engineer and experienced alderman, I am a trained problem solver.  I have spent four years developing and constantly improving a successful, proven process for taking care of residents' concerns.  When folks need me, I make myself available, I listen, and I get results.  If there is ever anything I can do for you, just let me know.  I am always here to help.

Please tell us about one goal you have for this position:  Communication is the key to effective representation.  I have spent the past four years using emerging technologies to create and continuously improve channels of communication between my residents and myself.  Right now, because of this effort, a large number of residents are kept abreast of emergencies, events, and important information, and they are able to express their views and concerns to me as a trusted friend who also happens to also work for them.  I fully intend to continue developing and expanding that dialog, adopting, implementing, and utilizing leading edge technologies to empower my residents and bring them even closer to their city government.

Terri Violet

Candidate for Ward 3 Alderman

Where do you live? 62 Bartley Street (Applewood Subdivision)

What is your current job/position? American Red Cross Volunteer (Community Disaster Education Instructor, Disaster Action Team Leader and Marketing/Communications Liaison).

Why are you running for Board of Aldermen? My desire to serve as Alderman is out of a genuine concern to see my fellow citizens and businesses of St. Peters prosper.

Relevant Experience: I’ve given countless hours in volunteer work within St. Peters to help my neighbors and have worked tirelessly to keep our neighborhoods safe. I currently serve on the St. Peter’s Veteran Memorial Commission and will work to see more successes to Veterans here. All the volunteer work I have done has helped prepare me for serving in the Alderman position.

What do think you can you bring to this position? I bring renewed energy and fresh ideas. I'm eager to work for my ward and city, not just part-time but full-time! I will be an alderman, not a politician. My "can-do" attitude allows me to go above and beyond to get the job done.

Please tell us about one goal you have for this position: When elected I will restore a working relationship with the Board and Mayor.
