St. Peters Taking Urban County Home Improvement Loan Program Applications

City offering 32 loans for home improvement.

The city of St. Peters is now accepting applications for loans to be used for home improvement. 

In an effort to maintain the city’s housing stock and property values, the Urban County St. Peters’ Home Improvement Loan Program is offering a one-time loan for up to $5,000 through a no-interest, five-year forgivable loan. The loan provides funding for low- and moderate-income homeowners with home rehabilitation projects such as new windows, furnace and air-conditioners, roof replacement, driveway replacement or repair and more.

To be eligible for the Urban County St. Peters’ Home Improvement Loan Program, a person must:

  • Be a resident and homeowner in the city limits of St. Peters who has not previously participated in the program.
  • Live in the home for at least one year.
  • Not exceed household income guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Refer to the chart below to see if you meet income qualifications.

Applications will be available for the 2011 Home Improvement Loan Program until 5 p.m. on Aug. 22. Applications are available at St. Peters City Hall or can be downloaded an application here.

Proposed funding for this program will cover 32 spots—10 spots for those meeting the low-income qualifications and the remaining spots may be filled by those meeting low—or moderate-income qualifications. Qualified participants will be selected based on a random lottery drawing at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23 at St. Peters City Hall. Applicants do not need to be present for the drawing to be considered for the program. is located at One St. Peters Centre Blvd.
