Childbirth One-Day Course

Fee: $100 per couple (includes lunch)

This course is designed to help expectant parents

prepare for the birth of their baby and includes

information about the physical and emotional

changes of pregnancy, labor and birth, role of

the support person, breathing and relaxation

techniques, hospital procedures, Caesarean

birth, medications and baby care.

 

Childbirth Four-Week Course

7-9:30 p.m., Wednesdays

October 3-24 or November 21-December 12

Professional Building I, 6 Jungermann Circle

Suite 212, on the campus of

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital

Fee: $75 per couple

Breast-Feeding Basics

7-9:30 p.m., Wednesday

September 19 or November 7

OB classroom

Fee: $30 per mom/couple

 

Kid’s Class

10:30-11:30 a.m., Saturday

OB classroom

Fee: $10 for the first child/

$15 for two or more children

This class is recommended for kids ages 3-9 and

focuses on the special relationship that siblings

have with their new baby. Newborn behaviors

and care, along with feelings about the baby, are

discussed. One parent needs to attend with the

child. It includes a tour of Suite Beginnings.

 

Infant and Child CPR/Choking

7-9 p.m., Thursday

September 20 or November 15

Professional Building 1, 6 Jungermann Circle

Suite 212, on the hospital campus

Fee: $25 per person

This class is for expectant and new parents who

wish to learn CPR for infants and children.

This is a non-certification class.
