Francis Howell Board of Education to Meet Thursday

BOE will meet at 7 p.m. tonight.

Just two Francis Howell Board of Education meetings remain in the 2010-11 school year.

Thursday night at the District Administration offices, the Board will tackle a lengthy agenda in the second-to-last meeting of the school year. With the year winding down, the Board will attempt to get some things in order for the next year—chief among them are contracts. The meeting begins at 7 p.m.           

The Board will vote on approving several District contracts, including deals with Excel Sports & Physical Therapy, Express Medical Transporters, Inc., First Student, Inc., Sentry Security Agency, Inc., and Sodexo, Inc. The District already has deals in place with the groups and will vote to extend current deals to provide services like food for the 2011-12 school year.

With the year coming to a close, the Board will also vote on just what to do with surplus equipment, library books and textbooks. The Board will vote on whether or not to sell the surplus equipment.

Also on the agenda, the Board will vote on the proposed transportation routes for next year.
