Francis Howell Board to Meet Thursday

The Francis Howell Board of Education will meet just days before the start of school. The meeting starts at 7 p.m.

Just days before the first day of school, the Francis Howell Board of Education will get together for a meeting that was nearly called off.

At the end of each meeting, the Board reviews agendas for upcoming meetings. Near the end of the July 21 meeting, the Board took a look at the Aug. 4 agenda and wondered if the meeting was necessary. The sparsely-filled agenda contained nothing urgent, but did have a few recurring items. In order to keep things rolling, the Board agreed to meet tonight, Thursday, at 7 p.m. at the Adminstration building.

Since July 21, the agenda has gotten a few more items for the Board to debate.

Also on the purchase list is an offer to buy 145 Dell computers to spread among Francis Howell and Francis Howell Central. The computers will cost nearly $109,000.
